Playoff-Bound Tigers Take Unbeaten Record into Saturday Tilt with Birmingham-Southern

86850October 29, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw, ranked 24th by the American Football Coaches Association, returns home for a non-conference game when it hosts Birmingham-Southern tomorrow. Kickoff from Blackstock Stadium is set for 1 p.m.

The Panthers are 5-2 on the season after last Saturday’s 50-10 home win over Sewanee, while DePauw is 7-0 for the first time since 1951 after winning at Trinity last week by a 32-31 score.

While Birmingham-Southern is an SCAC member, Saturday’s game is a non-conference contest because the Panthers are in their final year of NCAA Division III provisional status after moving from Division I.

DePauw has won all three meetings including last year’s 35-21 decision in Birmingham. The Tigers took a 31-21 win in 2008 in the only meeting in Greencastle.

Tomorrow's game will be carried live by WGRE (91.5 FM) with live stats available. A set of DePauw game notes is available for download.
