Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw's football team travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the first-ever meeting on the football field with Carnegie Mellon. Kickoff from Gesling Stadium is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 22.
The Tigers are 0-2 after last Saturday’s 52-14 loss at Wittenberg in DePauw’s first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference contest. DePauw lost the home opener on September 8 to St. Olaf by a 31-10 score.
Carnegie Mellon is 3-0 on the season following last Friday’s 35-17 victory over Catholic. The Tartans opened the season with a 23-20 win over Grove City before handling Allegheny on the road by a 37-7 score.
The game also marks the head coaching debut of DePauw interim head coach Scott Srnka. The Tigers' defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach since just prior to the 2011 season, Srnka was the long-time defensive coordinator at Rhodes College.
