Tigers Blanked to End Virginia Road Trip

Newport News, Va. -- DePauw capped off its two-game Virginia road trip on Sunday after falling, 4-0, to Christopher Newport. They'll come back with a 1-1 record after defeating Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday 2-1.

On Sunday, Christopher Newport took a 1-0 lead at halftime before scoring three times in the second half at 43:40, 54:52 and 68:52. DePauw struggled offensively and were outshot 18-9 for the game.

Sarah Foye made eight saves in net while taking her first loss of the year. Paige Berliner and Reilly Bruce each had three shots on goal.

DePauw will head to Denison next Saturday to open North Coast Athetic Conference play.
