Tigers Score Three in Second Half for Win

Delaware, Ohio – DePauw got back in the win column Saturday with a 3-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan.

DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan 52-16 and won the penalty corner advantage 11-10. Hannah Metzger recorded one save in the cage for the Tigers.

After a scoreless first half, Cathy Zesiger got the Tigers on the board with her second goal of the season at the 36th minute. Yet, Ohio Wesleyan answered six minutes later with a goal by Erin Greer.

DePauw was awarded a penalty stroke in the 52nd minute as Rose Revolinski scored to put DePauw ahead 2-1. For added cushion, DePauw scored again at 59:16 with a goal from Reilly Bruce.

The Battling Bishops (5-9, 1-8) scored in the final seconds of the game as Jamie Grant scored her fourth of the year.

DePauw, who moves to 8-5 overall and 6-3 in the NCAC, will look to continue their strong play tomorrow when they travel to Kenyon (11-2, 8-1), who sits atop the NCAC.
