Tigers Improve to 7-1-1 with Shutout Win over Franklin

0929071.jpg September 29, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored four in the first half and improved to 7-1-1 with a 6-0 win over visiting Franklin College. The Grizzlies dropped to 2-6-1 with the loss.

John Cross scored the eventual game winner just 1:10 into the contest on an assist from Mike Harris. Adam Davis scored, unassisted, in the 15th minute before Jeremy Rielley made it 3-0 on Scott Noel's assist in the 17th minute. Harris rounded out the first half scoring with an assist from Rielley in the 23rd minute.

Cross scored his second goal on an assist from Harris in the 57th minute before Davis rounded out the scoring with his second goal in the 70th minute.

DePauw outshot Franklin 30-3 and held a 4-1 edge in corners. John Fenley and Ted Jacobi split time in goal for the Tigers' fourth shutout of the season.

The Tigers host Birmingham-Southern on Friday, October 5, at 8 p.m.
