Greencastle, Ind.- The 21st-ranked Tigers stayed undefeated with a 2-0 victory over Franklin College Wednesday night at Boswell Field. DePauw improved to 3-0, while the Grizzlies dropped to 0-2.
George Elliott drove home a crossing pass from Andy Morrison in the third minute for what would be the game winner. Despite outshooting the Grizzlies 10-2 in the first half, Elliott’s goal was the only tally of the period.
Alieu Musa provided some insurance for the Tigers scoring in the 87th minute on an assist from Zach Hoffman.
DePauw outshot Franklin 21-3 and held a 13-0 edge on corner kicks. Franklin’s Lucas Hill made eight saves in a losing effort.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 7, when they host Earlham at 2 p.m.
