Greencastle, Ind. – Two second-half goals propelled the 21st-ranked Tigers to a 2-0 victory over Earlham College Saturday afternoon at Boswell Field. DePauw stayed undefeated moving to 4-0, while the Quakers dropped to 1-1.
Adrian Ables drove in a pass from George Elliott early in the second half for what would be the game winner. The Tigers pushed across a second goal when Mitch Tabler knocked in a crossing pass from Andy Morrison in the 84th minute.
The Tigers are 4-0 for the second straight year and have outscored their opponents 12-1 during the stretch.
DePauw outshot Earlham 20-4 and maintained a 4-3 edge on corner kicks. Earlham goalie Sam Embry made eleven saves in a losing effort.
The Tigers look to stay perfect when they play Rose-Hulman Sunday, September 8, at Boswell Field. Kickoff is slated for 2 pm.
