Oberlin, Ohio – The DePauw women’s lacrosse traveled to Oberlin, Ohio, to take on the Oberlin Yeowomen on Saturday, April 6, losing 17-10.
DePauw fell to 4-2 on the season, 1-2 in North Coast Athletic Conference play. Oberlin bettered their record to 2-8 with the win and picked up their first conference victory of the season.
The Tigers were led offensively by Carey Kunz and Elizabeth McCracken, scoring four and three goals, respectively. McCracken added a pair of assists to lead the team with five points in defeat.
Joining Kunz and McCracken in the box score were Natalie Swiler, Abigail Snively and Maryclaire Heldring, who eached tallied a goal. Knubbe Kunz added an assist in the contest.
Oberlin’s Ilyssa Meyer led all scorers, registering seven goals during the match.
Madeleine O’Meara picked up the victory in net for the Yeowomen, saving seven shots en route to victory. DePauw’s Amy Clark stopped five shots and was saddled with the loss, dropping her collegiate goalkeeping record to 4-2.
The Yeowomen outshot the Tigers 28-18 during the match and picked up nine more groundballs than DePauw.
DePauw returns to the field on Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. (ET) as they travel to Granville, Ohio to take on NCAC foe Denison.
