Tigers Earn Second NCAC Win Behind Dillon's Lone Goal

Greencastle, Ind. -- Mallory Dillon's goal in the 31st minute proved to be enough as DePauw shutout Ohio Wesleyan 1-0 for their second North Coast Athletic Conference win of the season.

DePauw jumps to 2-2 in the conference and 3-9 overall, while Ohio Wesleyan falls to 6-4-2 overall and 1-2-1 in NCAC play.

The only goal of the game came off a well-placed corner from Dana Shedd who found Dillon for the score. Dillon's shot hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced into the right side of the goal. It was her first goal of the year.

Both teams played evenly throughout. Ohio Wesleyan outshot DePauw 18-12. DePauw won the corner advantage 6-5 and both goalkeepers made six saves.

Senior Natalie Sheeks was back in net for the Tigers recording those six saves for her second win and second shutout on the year.

DePauw will return to action Saturday when they head to Allegheny.
