Greencastle, Ind. - Katie Webb's goal in the first overtime gave DePauw a 3-2 win over visiting Franklin. DePauw improved to 1-3, while the Grizzlies dropped to 1-2-1.
The teams played a scoreless first half, but DePauw's Sophia Wilcox broke the deadlock early in the second half before Jalynn Gorman and Maddie Fleet came right back with scores to give Franklin a 2-1 advantage.
Jenna McCarroll forced the extra period with a goal with just 4:54 remaining in regulation. Webb's goal came with 5:08 left in the opening overtime.
DePauw held a 21-7 advantage in shots including 10-5 on goal. The Tigers also had 11 corner kicks to Franklin's two.
DePauw travels to WashU on Saturday, September 15, where they will play Wisconsin-Whitewater in a 1:30 p.m. CDT game.
