Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw moved to 1-3 on the season following a 7-2 win over Centre. The Colonels dropped to 0-1.
DePauw took a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles with Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder defeating Neha Rao and Hannah Doherty at the first spot by an 8-7 (7-2) score, while the second doubles team of Colleen Morris and Emma Love blanked Katharine Sherman and Abigail Kent 8-0. Amanda Showalter and Erin Friedrich were 8-6 winners over Emily Zelichenok and Caroline Stallings at third doubles.
The Tigers wrapped up the win by taking wins at third through sixth singles. Galle rallied to defeat Kent at third singles 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) with Showalter Stallings at fourth singles 6-0, 6-2. Wilder came back to top Doherty at the fifth spot 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) and Friedrich defeated Zelichenok at sixth singles 6-3, 6-0.
Centre's points came at the top two singles positions with Sherman beating Morris 6-2, 6-1 and Rao winning over Love 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
DePauw returns to action on February 23 when it hosts Principia at 8:30 a.m. and Indiana Wesleyan at 4:30 p.m.
