DePauw Sweeps Saturday Matches; Improves to 19-3

Granville, Ohio - DePauw improved to 19-3 overall after blanking Denison by a 3-0 score and rallying for a 3-2 win over Manchester. With the victory over the Big Red the Tigers moved to 5-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.

DePauw won the Denison match by scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-21 as Mary Kate Etling led the way with eight kills and two aces and shared the team lead with Hannah Nelson as each had three blocks. Faith Rolwes totaled 25 assists, while Keely McGrath led with 13 digs.

Against Manchester, DePauw dropped the first two sets by 25-23 and 25-22 scores, but knotted the match with 25-11 and 25-21 victories in the next two. The Tigers won the final set, 15-10.

Etling paced DePauw with 19 kills and 11 blocks, while Rolwes totaled 42 assists. McGrath and Emily Peacha each had three aces with McGrath chipping in 35 digs.

DePauw travels to Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, October 17, for a 7 p.m. match.
