Springfield, Ohio - For the third straight season and fourth time in the last five years, DePauw finished second at the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament following a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-22) loss to top-seed and seventh-ranked Wittenberg. DePauw concluded the regular season with a 23-5 record, while Wittenberg dropped to 20-6.
Wittenberg outhit DePauw .300-.141 and held a 52-36 advantage in kills. Suzanne Peters led DePauw with eight kills, while Gabi Allread added second. Keegan Kollias assisted on 27 kills, while Rachael Lenderman led the way with 22 digs. Haley Bitzer and Morgan Stearley each had three block assists.
Maddie Fischer had a team-high 12 kills for Wittenberg and Aubrey Cox added 11. Karen Wildermann led with 35 assists with Emily Kahlig and Megan Falherty each recording two service aces. Madison Manger paced the defensive effort with 23 digs, while Kahlif had four block assists.
The Tigers await word on a possible NCAA Division III at-large bid which will be annouced on the selection show which airs on NCAA.com on Monday, November 6, at 12:30 p.m. EST.
