Greencastle, Ind. - Kate Milner's goal with 8:32 left in the second overtime gave DePauw a 3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Earlham. The Tigers, with their sixth straight win, improved to 6-4 and wrapped up the first half of NCAC play at 5-2 in conference games. Earlham dropped to 5-7 overall and 1-6 in NCAC contests.
The game-winning sequence started with shots from Cathy Zesiger and Milner that were saved before Milner followed her own for the winner.
Milner gave DePauw a 1-0 lead just 7:09 into the contest on an assist from Corina Bourantas before Earlham's Denise Bergdolt evened the count at 9:01 and the Quakers' Sofia Salvatore made it 2-1 nine minutes later.
Sarah Simon's goal with just under 10 minutes left in regulation forced the overtime.
DePauw held a 22-3 edge in shots including 15-2 on goal. The Tigers also led in penalty corners, 8-2.
Allie Duranceau picked up her second straight win in goal for the Tigers, while Margaret Murphy had 11 saves for Earlham.
DePauw travels to league-leading Denison on Saturday, October 6, for an 11 a.m. contest.
