#21 DePauw Makes it Five Straight with Win in Final Game in Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach, Fla. - DePauw, ranked 21st by D3hoops.com and 22nd in the coaches' poll, scored 24 straight points bridging the third and fourth quarters and pulled away from Stevenson for a 76-52 win in the Daytona Beach Shootout. The Tigers moved to 8-2 with their fifth straight win, while the Mustangs dropped to 4-8.

The teams battled to a 16-16 tie after one quarter and were even at 28 before Maeve Summerville, Sydney Kopp and Claire Keefe each hit 3-pointers during a 9-3 run that lifted DePauw to a 37-31 halftime lead.

Stevenson was within one at 39-38 after Denia Campbell hit two free throws with 7:47 left in the third. The Tigers ended the stanza with a string of 22 straight points including a stretch where they connected on 7 of 9 from the floor to grab a 61-38 lead. DePauw opened the fourth with a bucket before the Mustangs ended the run. DePauw scored the next seven to take their largest lead of the game at 70-40.

Keefe led DePauw with her first collegiate double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Kopp added 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists and hit 5 of 9 from beyond the arc. Maya Howard dished out five assists and recorded three steals.

Campbell paced Stevenson with 14 points with Hannah Crist chipping in 12 and Laila Abdul-Rahman adding 10. Kellie Johnson snagged six rebounds and had four steals.

The Tigers shot 45.3 percent to Stevenson's 36.5 and DePauw knocked in 9 of 17 3-point attempts. DePauw also held a commanding 49-23 rebounding advantage and outscored the Mustangs, 17-4, in second chance points.
