Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - DePauw shot an opening-round 323 and is in seventh among 25 schools at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships on the El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn & Resort.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Williams each shot 311 to lead the field, while Carleton, New York University and Carnegie Mellon are tied for third at 321. Methodist is sixth at 322.

Rachele Miller and Anna Foley each shot 79 to tie for 15th and lead the Tigers. Miller recorded 12 pars on the round, while Foley had one birdie along with 10 pars.

Larisa Luloff is tied for 45th at 82 after posting one birdie and eight pars, Cristal Chan had one birdie and 10 pars on the way to an 83 and a tie for 49th. Tarinni Sameer Kakar carded nine pars and shot an 85 to tie for 65th.

Charlotte Simpson of Carnegie Mellon leads the individuals with an even-par 73.

DePauw begins second-round play tomorrow with tee times from 12:30-1:10 p.m.
