Madison, Wis. - DePauw battled 35th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus in a match that included two of the singles matches going to a third set, but the Gusties came away with a 5-4 victory. The Tigers dropped to 7-10, while Gustavus Adolphus improved to 13-11.
The Tigers led 2-1 following doubles after wins by the first team of Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder who topped Bri Hartmann and Lilly Hartman by an 8-1 count and the second doubles tandem of Colleen Morris and Emma Love who defeated Hannah Borgh and Simona Potockova by an 8-3 score.
Love won at fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Potockova and Ali Bush took a 6-3, 7-6 win over Ally Thorsen at sixth singles. Gustavus came away with three-set victories at second and third singles after the Tigers rallied in both to force the third set.
DePauw returns to action on Friday, April 12, with a 5 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference match at Wittenberg.
