Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw moved to 4-6 on the season following a 3-1 (25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15) win over Muskingum and a 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 15-13) victory over #11 Illinois Wesleyan.
In the opening match of the evening, the Tigers hit .312 including ,485 in the fourth set for the win. Morgan Stearley recorded a team-high 19 kills with Liv Hartman adding 16 while hitting .400. Ally Low totaled 55 assists with Meaghan Etling notching a pair of aces. Jenna Purichia's 24 digs paced the defense, while Etling, Stearley and Corri Rusk each had three blocks.
DePauw outhit the fighting Muskies .312-.210 and held a 62-51 edge in kills. The Tigers also held the advantage in aces, 5-2, and digs, 77-72. DePauw finished with 7.0 total team blocks.
Stearley totaled 19 kills and Suzanne Peters 18 in the win over the Titans. Peters led the Tigers by hitting .286, while Stearley was at .269. Low had 51 assists with Kaylee Nichols totaling two of DePauw's four aces. Stearley also paced DePauw with 23 digs and Hartman added three blocks.
Illinois Wesleyan outhit DePauw, .203-.186 and held a 70-63 edge in kills and a 100-83 margin in digs.
DePauw faces top-ranked Calvin tomorrow at Noon and Earlham at 4 p.m.
